2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service: processing bookings, escrow payments, delivering notifications, and operating the Creator marketplace.
- To verify accounts: confirming Creator statistics are genuine and that users are who they say they are.
- To communicate with you: sending booking confirmations, delivery alerts, payout notifications, and support responses.
- To improve the platform: analysing usage patterns, diagnosing errors, and developing new features.
- To comply with law: meeting our legal obligations, preventing fraud, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, nor for targeted advertising on third-party platforms.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these circumstances:
- Between Buyers and Creators: When a booking is made, the Buyer’s brief and the Creator’s profile information are shared between both parties to facilitate delivery.
- Service providers: We share data with trusted vendors who process it on our behalf (see Section 4). These vendors are contractually required to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfer: If ShoutThisOut is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out of the platform.

8. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
- TLS encryption for all data in transit.
- Database-level encryption at rest (via Supabase / PostgreSQL).
- Row-level security policies so users can only access their own data.
- No storage of raw payment card data (handled entirely by Stripe).
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
